What is cPanel?

cPanel is a web hosting control panel that helps individuals and companies manage their web hosting needs. It offers various options to configure the hosting account, install scripts such as WordPress, work with email accounts, create databases, and more.

cPanel is arguably one of the most popular web hosting control panels used today. It is easy to use and it offers tons of features.

cPanel comes with two different areas: cPanel (Control Panel) and WHM (Web Host Manager). They both offer a range of useful features to make managing your website easier, but WHM offers more advanced functionality and server management. It is the more powerful option for larger sites or those who need advanced hosting automation tools or security features.

For the end-user:

  • Create websites and domains in a few clicks
  • Launch and manage email networks
  • Manage and store web files

For the server owner or reseller:

  • Create cPanel accounts for customers
  • Monitor and protect the server

You can also seamlessly integrate cPanel with the dynamic, all-in-one billing and automation platform called WHMCS.
