.de domain registration requirements
Germany is represented by the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) .de
In order to register for a .de domain name, you must first agree to the .de terms and conditions of registration.
The registration process is open for individuals or organizations outside of Germany. However, in the event of any legal issues, DENIC (.DE Registry) may request an authorised representative in Germany for receipt of official or court documents. You must provide this information within two weeks of receiving a corresponding request from DENIC. You may refer to DENIC Domain Terms and Conditions, section 3.4, for more information.
There are different regulations regarding nameservers for .de domains. It is necessary to have at least two authoritative independent DNS servers. Each nameserver’s IP address should differ by at least one number in any octet. Additionally, at least one of them must be connected via IPv4.
As an example:
The IP addresses 10.0.2.1 and 10.0.2.2 are valid (the IP addresses differ by one digit here)
The pair of 10.0.2.1 and 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:1111 is also valid.
