What’s New – QuickCloud Dedicated Servers

Dedicated hardware, now with the flexibility of cloud billing.

QuickCloud Dedicated Servers give you full access to physical server hardware, while keeping the same simple hourly billing model used across QuickCloud.

You get dedicated CPU, RAM and storage, full remote management, integrated networking and the ability to connect directly with the rest of your QuickCloud infrastructure — all from one workspace.

Dedicated hardware, billed hourly

Traditional dedicated servers usually mean committing to a fixed monthly contract.

QuickCloud Dedicated Servers work differently.

Servers are billed hourly, with a monthly cap, so you only pay for the time the server is active while still knowing the maximum monthly cost in advance.

Dedicated Servers currently start from around:

£30/month when running for a full billing period

That gives you the flexibility of cloud billing while still getting real physical hardware.

New and bargain hardware

We offer a mixture of newer hardware and lower-cost bargain servers, allowing you to choose the right balance between performance and price.

Typical platforms include:

  • Intel Xeon E3
  • Intel Xeon E5
  • Intel Xeon Gold

Memory configurations generally range from:

8 GB to 256 GB RAM

Stock changes regularly as hardware becomes available.

SSD storage and hardware RAID

Most current Dedicated Servers include SATA SSD storage with hardware RAID.

This gives you reliable local storage with RAID handled directly by the server hardware.

We’re also expanding the range of NVMe-based Dedicated Servers as new stock becomes available.

For unusual storage, RAM or hardware requirements, contact us before ordering and we can help build a suitable configuration.

1 Gbit/s networking as standard

Dedicated Servers include 1 Gbit/s networking as standard.

Selected servers also include 10 Gbit/s network interfaces, making them suitable for high-throughput workloads or environments where faster private networking is required.

Each server includes:

10 TB of monthly outbound data transfer

Additional bandwidth can be added where required.

IPv4 and IPv6

Dedicated Servers can use individual IPv4 addresses alongside IPv6 connectivity.

IPv6 allocations are available as a /64, giving you plenty of address space for applications, virtualisation and services running on the server.

Full remote management

Remote hardware management is integrated directly into QuickCloud.

Access is provided through the QuickCloud platform, so you can manage the server without needing to expose the management interface directly to the public Internet.

This gives you access to functions such as:

  • Remote console
  • Power on
  • Power off
  • Reboot
  • Hardware management
  • OS installation and recovery

Deploy in minutes

Dedicated Servers can be provisioned directly through QuickCloud.

Once ordered, the platform handles provisioning automatically.

Deployment time is normally only a few minutes, depending on the physical server’s boot time and the operating system image being downloaded.

Reinstall and rescue from the panel

You don’t need to open a ticket every time you want to rebuild a server.

QuickCloud provides built-in controls for:

  • Operating system reinstall
  • Rescue mode
  • Reboot
  • Shutdown
  • Power control
  • Remote console access

That makes Dedicated Servers feel much closer to managing a Cloud VM, while still giving you full physical hardware underneath.

DDoS protection included

Every Dedicated Server includes our network-level DDoS protection.

Protection is available up to 1 Tbps, helping protect your server and network connectivity against common volumetric attacks.

Cloud Connect

Dedicated Servers can connect directly with other QuickCloud services using Cloud Connect.

This allows your physical server to communicate privately with:

  • Cloud VMs
  • Managed Databases
  • Cloud Firewalls
  • Colocation infrastructure
  • Other Dedicated Servers

You can build hybrid environments where physical and virtual infrastructure work together inside the same network.

Connect your Dedicated Server to a Cloud Firewall

Dedicated Servers can also be moved behind a QuickCloud Cloud Firewall directly from the panel.

For example, you can place the server onto the LAN side of an OPNsense firewall and use the firewall to manage:

  • Internet access
  • VPN connectivity
  • NAT
  • Firewall rules
  • Private networking
  • Remote access

This means you can combine dedicated hardware with the same networking tools available to your cloud infrastructure.

Managed or unmanaged

QuickCloud Dedicated Servers are available as either unmanaged or managed.

Unmanaged servers give you full control and are ideal if you’re comfortable administering the operating system yourself.

For customers who want additional help, managed server options are available from:

£60/month per server

Management can cover routine server administration and support, with additional engineering available where required.

Custom server requirements

Unlike Cloud VMs, Dedicated Server hardware is physical and can’t always be resized instantly.

If you need additional RAM, disks, RAID configurations, network interfaces or another custom setup, contact us before ordering.

We can check current stock and build a server around your requirements where possible.

Built into QuickCloud Workspace

Dedicated Servers aren’t treated as a completely separate product.

They live alongside the rest of your infrastructure inside QuickCloud Workspace.

That means you can manage Cloud VMs, Dedicated Servers, networking, firewalls and other services from the same platform.

The goal is simple:

Physical infrastructure when you need it, with the convenience of cloud management.

Dedicated performance without the traditional commitment

QuickCloud Dedicated Servers combine physical hardware with a more flexible way of using it.

You get:

  • Dedicated CPU, RAM and storage
  • Hourly billing with a monthly cap
  • Servers from around £30/month
  • 1 Gbit/s networking as standard
  • 10 TB monthly transfer
  • IPv4 and IPv6
  • Remote management
  • Automated provisioning
  • Rescue and reinstall tools
  • 1 Tbps DDoS protection
  • Cloud Connect
  • Cloud Firewall integration
  • Managed and unmanaged options

All managed from the same QuickCloud platform.

Deploy a Dedicated Server in QuickCloud and combine physical hardware with the flexibility of cloud infrastructure.
