QuickCloud Cloud Firewall & VPN is an OPNsense-powered network security service that combines firewalling, routing and VPN functionality. Deploy it through QuickCloud and configure it to protect and connect your infrastructure.
Do I need to install OPNsense myself?
No. QuickCloud automatically provisions the firewall infrastructure and installs the required software. You can then manage your network security settings through the available interfaces.
Can I connect to my servers remotely?
Yes. You can configure supported remote-access VPN services to securely connect authorised users to private infrastructure.
Does it support site-to-site VPN?
Yes. OPNsense supports site-to-site VPN configurations for linking offices, datacentres and cloud networks. Available connection methods and setup options depend on your chosen configuration.
What is the difference between standalone and High Availability?
A standalone firewall runs as one instance. An HA pair uses two coordinated firewall instances with supported automatic failover, helping reduce service disruption if one becomes unavailable.
Can I protect dedicated servers or colocation?
Yes, where the required network routing and connectivity have been configured. QuickCloud Cloud Firewall & VPN can form part of a wider infrastructure security design.
Can I manage my firewall through AI?
QuickCloud includes a built-in AI assistant and supports compatible external assistants through MCP. Available operations depend on the tools provided and the permissions granted to your assistant.
Can I access the OPNsense interface?
Yes. You can access the firewall's OPNsense management interface to configure supported firewall, VPN and networking features.
Where is the firewall hosted?
QuickCloud Cloud Firewalls are hosted on infrastructure in our own UK datacentre, operated by QuickHost.
Can I upgrade from standalone to HA?
High Availability pairs are available when ordering supported configurations. Check the available options in QuickCloud or contact our team regarding an existing standalone firewall.
