Attach it as remote media through IPMI, or mount it as a virtual CD on a VM. -

Using encryption? Keep your passphrase somewhere safe. We never store it, so encrypted backups can't be restored without it.

After the first full backup, R1Soft only sends the parts of the disk (blocks) that changed since the last backup. That keeps backups quick and light, so they can run as often as every hour.
Which servers can I protect?
Linux and Windows servers. Each server you protect runs the R1Soft backup agent.
Can I change how often backups run, or how long they are kept?
Yes. Your package sets the most often backups can run and the longest they are kept. In QuickCloud you can choose anything at or below that, for example once a day and kept 7 days, for the same price. To go higher, change your package.
Which restore points are kept?
Restore points from your schedule for the number of days you keep, plus weekly and monthly restore points so you can go further back.
Can I back up databases?
Yes. MySQL on Linux and Windows, and SQL Server and Exchange on Windows servers.
Can I leave files out of my backups?
Yes. Add excludes for files, folders or patterns, such as caches and temporary files.
Are my backups encrypted?
You can turn on AES-256 encryption. Your passphrase is shown once and is never kept by us, so keep it somewhere safe: encrypted backups can't be restored without it.
What if my whole server fails?
Use Bare-Metal Restore. Boot the server, or a replacement, from the R1Soft boot ISO, connect to your backups and restore the disks. Our guide in QuickCloud takes you through each step.

On our backup platform in our UK datacentre, separate from the servers they protect.
